I'm A Parade

I know that I've been the worst blogger since coming back to school, but I can't say I'm all that sorry about it.  I've been doing a lot lately, including working on The Accolade (I should have a somewhat boring but informational article up by next week!).  I've taken on the task of coming up with a blog for The Accolade, and instead of writing my article I've found that I'm working on the blog instead.

I've been mulling around a short story idea as I think about the possible Arts section for The Accolade, which I'm hoping would give students as well as local writers and artists a chance to showcase their art.  I'm sure you remember the debacle that was my novel attempt a few months ago, which ultimately fell through because I'm a perfectionist and I couldn't leave the plot-line alone although I wrote over 60,000 words.  I'm thinking that maybe I should stick to short creative writing endeavors for a while.

I know.  Hard life, right?

I'm just saying, don't be surprised if that pops up randomly within the next two weeks or so.

Update on me?  Other than having a grand old time with The Accolade, I've been doing surprisingly well.  I had a lot of schoolwork due two weeks ago, but now school has slowed down a little bit, which I'm extremely grateful for.  It'll probably start to pick up again next week, and then you won't hear from me for another two weeks or so.

I've figured out a lot of things that have been on my mind since the beginning of the semester, and I feel pretty good about where my life is headed at the moment.  I'm busy, yes, but not overwhelmed.  Not yet.

I do hope it stays that way.
