Observations from The Nook

Well here I am, sitting in The Nook of the dining hall with my handy dandy laptop.  I had to bring it to class today, so I figured might as well get it out while I'm enjoying my sunny morning indoors.

It's been an interesting week, that's for sure.  I can't tell where it's headed yet, even though it's already Wednesday.

Hold on, I need to go make a waffle.

...I tried to make a quarter of a waffle, but the batter went everywhere so now I have to eat a whole one.  Whoops.  At least it's delicious.

So anyway, it's Wednesday, and it's rather chilly.  I looked outside and the sun tricked me into thinking that it would be warmer than it actually is.  All of the trees that I can see are naked.  They must be freezing.  Or hibernating.  I would hate to be naked in February.

You know what I hate?

  1. Creepy football coaches.
  2. Country music radio.
  3. Rihanna. (MAKE ME FEEEEEEEL LIKE I'M THE ONLY GIRL IN THE WORRLLLDD)
  4. Runny eggs.
  5. Writing in pencil.
  6. When others sneeze.  They never fail to spray snot and spit particles into my breathing air.
  7. Bruno Mars.  You'd take a grenade for love?  You'd run away screaming, little singer boy.  And quit writing crappy love songs.  You make me sick.
  8. Lame Facebook status updates.  If it's not interesting, don't bother updating me on it.
  9. Scary movies/videos/stories.
  10. Math.

You know what I love?  Making lists.  :)

Valentine's Day is coming up.  I don't know what that's supposed to mean to me, other than awesome conversation hearts and couples making out everywhere.  One of those things, I enjoy.  I'll give you a hint: it's the candy.

But really, I don't hate it.  It might be a stupid commercial holiday, and people shouldn't need a special day to show their love for each other, but I don't think the celebration of love can ever be a bad thing.  As long as it's love and not lust, or chocolate, or flowers, or poetry.  Yuck, poetry.

Now, since I'm feelin' so fly (like a G6)
and since you know exactly what song is playing in the dining hall at the moment
I think it's time for me to end this right here.  Have a wonderful Wednesday!

  1. There's this really funny Calvin and Hobbes cartoon, where some girl sneezes and Calvin goes on this long spiel about how we should say "curse you" instead of "bless you" and then he gets punched. I was going to put it up, but it's not on the internet.
